Today is Sunday, August 28, 2011. The hurricane has passed us by and is now a level one in New York and New England. I dodged a lot of bullets last week, an earthquake on the east coast, a hurricane roaring up from the Bahamas and my mother being taken to the hospital as she suspected a heart attack was occurring. Everything seemed to be occurring at once and without a pause in time, to consider what just happened. Fortunately my mother was released after five days and a battery of tests to determine the cause of the problem. It was likely the iodine in the salt! A common allergy as we age and our bodies can no longer withstand our heavy handedness with the shaker. She is back home now and I have a few days to gather my thoughts before heading out to visit.................
My first thought is "Life is Short". I've been saying this for 12 years now. I need to remember to not put off anything, because no one promises you tomorrow.
My second thought is John needs to help me get this blog going and remind me to write regularly!
I have titled the blog "Isays", as I often tell people they are similar to Essays, but are entirely based on my opinions and the world as I wish it to be! I have a lot to say, but lack the discipline of a writer. I hope to change that........... as I change the world! Lofty ideals coming from a "citybilly"!
